The Hamilton Amateur
Radio Club was formed on the 12th of March 1923.
It became a Branch of NZART in 1932. Our Club Rooms are
located at We currently have
about 30 members, who are involved in the majority of aspects of
Amateur Radio. As a Branch of NZART,
The Hamilton Amateur Radio Club supports NZART and encourages all Radio
Amateurs to belong to the National Association. |

The Committee meet at the
Clubrooms on the first Wednesday of the month. General
club meetings
are held on the third Wednesday of the month, generally at the
clubrooms. Please see the upcoming meetings page for details of the
next meeting. We generally have a speaker speaking on an aspect of
Amateur Radio, followed by a time of fellowship and a cup of coffee
together. Our Annual General Meeting is
held on the 3rd Wednesday in February. AREC
Section Meetings are held on the fifth
Wednesday of the month. |

NZART
AGM and Conference – 2010: The
combined Auckland Branches of NZART, invite NZART members to Auckland
for the AGM and Conference, Queens Birthday Weekend, 5th - 7th June,
2010. It is to be held at the Alexandra Park Raceway, Greenlane Road
West, Epsom, Auckland. Programme and details available later. Website
for details HERE. Club Meeting - 18 November, 2009: Will be a visit to the Hamilton Astronomical Society on Brymer Road. Use the Hamilton Zoo carpark for parking. If the weather is clear there will be an opportunity to use the societies 24 Classical Cassegrain telescope or one of their smaller units. Other equipment will be on display including their radio telescope facilities. Annual Club BBQ: Will be held in the first half of December. Either Saturday the 5th or 12th at the clubrooms.
