This BBS is owned and operated by Hamilton Amateur Radio Club (Branch 12 NZART)

 

The BBS is located in the clubrooms and uses the FBB v7.00i BBS software.

 

Ports are:

144.65 MHz simplex to connect to the wider area via the OTO digipeater

147.5 MHz as a local frequency (except 11pm to 6am local time)

145.4 MHz to connect through the Kaimai data repeater.

438.4 MHz forwarding 2am to 6am

439.875 MHz forwarding 11pm to 6am 

All ports are 1200 baud AX25.

 

Forwarding:

24 hours, 7 days a week via xrouter (HAMNOD) to ZL2BAU-3, ZL2TZE-3 and ZL1AB (via ZL2AQY-1)

Overnight on 70cm to ZL1IB Tauranga and ZL2WA Wellington.

 

Transceivers are:

Tait 500 for 145.4 MHz

Tait 500 for 147.5 MHz

Tait 500 for 439.875 MHz

Tait 500 for 438.4 MHz

Tait 198 for 144.65 MHz.

 

The PC used is a ‘super fast’ 486 DX4 100 running DOS for reliability.
